Political Cartoons in Europe | Muslim American Society Press Briefing
Muslim religious leaders speak to reporters about events surrounding the circulation of political cartoons in Europe depicting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The original publication in a Danish newspaper and subsequent republication by papers in other countries following initial public outcry had led to sectarian violence and protest against the West is several Islamic countries. Following their remarks, they answer questions from reporters and the audience.
