Alkanes are comprised of a series of compounds that contain carbon and hydrogen atoms with single covalent bonds. This group of compounds consists of carbon and hydrogen atoms with single covalent bonds. Also, comprises a homologous series having a molecular formula of C nH2n+2.
Homologous series has enabled scientists and engineers to study different organic compounds systematically. They can predict the properties of organic compounds belonging to a particular homologous series based on the data available from the other members of the same series. The study of organic compounds has been simplified.

Chad gives a comprehensive lesson on Resonance, showing organic chemistry students exactly how to draw resonance structures easily. He starts by reviewing what students would have learned in General Chemistry including the idea that resonance implies delocalized electrons which typically results in greater stability. He then covers numerous resonance structure examples relevant to organic chemistry including resonance with carbocations, resonance with lone pairs of electrons, resonance with radicals, and how to draw resonance structures with arrows. He also shows how to predict what the structure of the resonance hybrid should look like and how to determine which resonance structures are major or minor contributors. Finally, Chad shows the relationship between resonance and hybridization, and how to properly determine the hybridization of an atom when resonance is a factor.

Sky News host Liz Storer has called out the bias from ABC’s debate moderators during US Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump’s presidential debate.
The clash of candidates on Wednesday marked their first-ever encounter, and possibly their last, before the November presidential election.
"Kamala ... didn't get a single fact check, unlike the fact checker that never led up on Trump and going viral now is the fact checks on his fact checks, which turn out to be absolute lies," Ms Storer said.
"But the takeaway from this is nothing has changed. Everyone who is voting Democrat still sees Kamala as, oh, she eviscerated Trump. All the Republicans or those voting Republican just saw a three-on-one in which Trump did remarkably well, holding on to his own."
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said the bias of the ABC News Presidential Debate moderators was "obvious to a lot of people" on 'One Nation with Brian Kilmeade.'

A distinguished political scientist, Tim Groseclose is the Marvin Hoffenberg Professor of American Politics at the University of California at Los Angeles. Professor Groseclose has also taught at Caltech, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Ohio State University and Harvard. His new book is Left Turn: How Liberal Media Bias Distorts the American Mind.
For years, conservatives have been saying, "The media are biased." For just as many years, liberals have been saying, "Oh, yeah? Prove it." Now Tim Groseclose has proven it. Drawing on years of research and statistical analysis laid out in Left Turn, Groseclose explains how he measures the political leanings of ordinary Americans, the level of bias in any chosen media company, and how this media bias powerfully affects elections. He concludes by offering ways of combating media bias and explaining the role the Internet plays in exposing this bias.
--An incredible example of media bias and projection of media bias related to the upcoming Walmart workers strike on Black Friday, with examples from Carol Costello on CNN asking Walmart spokesman David Tovar about Walmart's poverty level wages, and Fox News' Stuart Varney attacking strikers without mentioning the reasons for the strike, while setting setting up softball questions for Walmart's Tovar, like "can you sue the strikers?"
--On the Bonus Show: Public urination followup, outrageous Indian textbook claims, turkey pardon, NYPD cannibal cop, more.
