Once a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and said: “O Messenger of Allah! Who from amongst mankind warrants the best companionship from me?”
He replied: “Your mother.”
The man asked: “Then who?”
So, He (PBUH) replied: “Your mother.”
The man then asked: “Then who?”
So, the Prophet (PBUH) replied again: “Your mother.”
The man then asked: “Then who?”
So, He (SAW) replied: “Then your father.”

وحملت الرحال على المطايا
এবং, মালপত্রগুলো বাহনের ওপর বোঝায় করা হয়ে গিয়েছিল




عبيدك يا اله الناس غاو
হে মানুষের প্রভু, আপনার বান্দা তো পথভ্রষ্ট




وليس سواك يمنحني هداي
আপনি ছাড়া আর কেউ নেই যে আমাকে হিদায়াত দিবে




عبيدك من شتات في شتات
আপনার বান্দা তো ছিন্নভিন্ন অবস্থায় রয়েছে


أتاك وأنت أخبر بالنوايا
আপনার কাছে সে এসেছে আর আপনি তো তার নিয়ত সম্পর্কে জানেন


جهول ظالم وعليه برد
নির্বোধ ও জুলুমকারী সে, তার ওপর রয়েছে একটি চাদর


من التسويف أورده البلايا
কালক্ষেপণের পক্ষ থেকে যা তার জন্য নিয়ে এসেছে বিপদসমূহ


وما عتبات بابك غير جود
আপনার দরজার চৌকাঠসমূহ তো উদারতা থেকে খালি নয়




فها هو واقف يرجوا العطايا
তাই, সে এখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে দানের আশায়


وها هو خد شقوته ذليل
এবং, সে এখানে তার দুর্ভাগ্যে দাগ কেটেছে ও অপদস্থ হয়ে


تعفر ساجدا بين الحنايا
সিজদায় ধুলিতে গড়াগড়ি করছে তার মাঝে


أنا والذنب والتسويل جئنا
আমি, আমার পাপ ও আমার প্রলোভন, আমরা (সবাই) এসেছি


وبين يديك اطرقنا خزايا
এবং, আপনার সামনে মাথা নিচু করেছি লজ্জিত হয়ে




جواي هشيم افراح وتحيا
আমার ভেতরে রয়েছে আনন্দের ভাঙ্গা অংশসমূহ এবং তা বাস করে


على أنقاضها كتل الرزايا
এর ওপর ভেঙ্গে দিয়েছে দুর্যোগের দলাগুলি




إلهي لا تكل نفسي لنفسي
হে প্রভু, আমার অন্তরকে আমার কাছে ছেড়ে দিবেন না


إذن والله تخذلني السجايا
তাহলে, আল্লাহর কসম, স্বভাব আমাকে পরিত্যাগ করবে


وصغ لي عبرة بهوان غيري
এবং, অন্যদের অপমান আমার জন্য একটি শিক্ষা হিসেবে গড়ুন




لأبصر كل ما حولي مرايا
যাতে আমি আমার সমগ্র চারপাশ একটি আয়না হিসেবে দেখতে পারি


إلهي جيش أحزاني غزاني
হে আমার প্রভু, আমার দুঃখগুলোর সৈন্যদল আমাকে আক্রমণ করেছে




ومن همي تباغتني سرايا
এবং, আমার দুঃখ হতে সৈন্যদল আমার নিকট আকস্মিকভাবে এসেছে


وجئتك يا حبيب الصدق تعدو خطاي
