The Ricados and Mertzes prepare for their trip to California where Ricky will be acting in a movie.

I Love Lucy is an American television sitcom starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, and William Frawley. The black-and-white series originally ran from October 15, 1951, to May 6, 1957, on CBS. All 180 episodes aired on Mondays.

In total 180 episodes of I Love Lucy were produced, plus a pilot episode. The pilot, which was not made for broadcast and did not air as part of the show's original run, is generally not counted as one of the episodes and therefore listed separately for reference. It is, however, available on DVD and Blu-ray releases of the first season. Following I Love Lucy, a further 13 one hour-long episodes were produced under the title of The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show (later and more commonly known in syndication as The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour) with the same cast and later packaged as seasons 7, 8 & 9 under the I Love Lucy series.

CHARLIE CHAPLIN

Tu as l'air d'un vagabond
Avec ton grand pantalon
Ta canne, ton chapeau melon
Drôle de bonhomme
Tout en noir et blanc
Haut comme trois pommes
Sur le grand écran.

Tes vieilles chaussures trouées
Veste courte et étriquée
La moustache bien taillée
Dodelinant
Quand tu déambules
Te dandinant
Un peu ridicule.

Refrain :
Charlie Chaplin
Devant la caméra
Sacrée bobine
« Sans paroles » au cinéma
Charlie Chaplin

Burlesque, boul’versant.

Sous le feu des projecteurs
Dans « Le Kid », « Le Dictateur »
Tu provoques les rires, les pleurs
Merci l'artiste
Pour toujours en scène
Petit clown triste
De nos "Temps modernes".

Refrain :
Charlie Chaplin

Paroles et musique : Monsieur Nô

Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, widely known as Charlie Chaplin, was a legendary English actor, comedian, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame during the silent film era. He was born on April 16, 1889, in London, England, and his childhood was marked by poverty and hardship.

Chaplin's career began in the music hall and vaudeville circuits in England, where he developed his skills as a performer. In 1913, he traveled to the United States and soon signed with Keystone Studios, where he created his iconic character, "The Tramp." The Tramp, with his distinctive bowler hat, toothbrush mustache, cane, and distinctive walk, became one of the most recognizable and beloved figures in the history of cinema.

Chaplin's early films, such as "The Kid" (1921) and "The Gold Rush" (1925), were enormous successes, combining humor with social commentary. Despite the advent of sound in cinema, Chaplin continued to produce silent films well into the 1930s, including "City Lights" (1931) and "Modern Times" (1936). His ability to convey emotion and tell a story without spoken words showcased his mastery of visual comedy.

In addition to acting, Chaplin wrote, directed, and composed music for many of his films. His work often tackled social and political issues, making him not only a master of comedy but also a thoughtful and influential artist. However, his outspoken political views, especially during the era of McCarthyism, led to controversy and challenges in his later career.

Chaplin's personal life was also marked by turbulence, including multiple marriages and legal troubles. In 1972, he received an honorary Academy Award for his contributions to the film industry, and in 1975, Queen Elizabeth II knighted him.

Charlie Chaplin passed away on December 25, 1977, in Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland. Despite the passage of time, his legacy endures, and he is remembered as one of the greatest entertainers in the history of cinema. #hilarious #hysterical #comedic #humor #laugh #chuckle #giggles #witty #wacky #zany #madcap #priceless #uproarious #pratfall #vaudeville #whimsical #chortles #rofl #lols #usa #india #china #indonesia #pakistan #brazil #nigeria #bangladesh #russia #mexico #japan #ethiopia #philippines #egypt #vietnam #turkey #germany #iran #thailand #unitedkingdom #france #italy #southafrica #tanzania #myanmar #kenya #southkorea #colombia #spain #ukraine #argentina #algeria #sudan #uganda #iraq #morocco #peru #malaysia #venezuela #uzbekistan #funnyvideos #comedyclips #vintagecomedy #classiccomedy #silentmoviecomedy #silentfilmfunny #notalkiecomedy #oldhollywoodfunny #chaplinfunnymoments #charliechaplinbest #chaplainicicronics #physicalcomedygold #slapstickhumor #visualcomedy #cleanlaughsforall #familyfriendlyfunny #genuinelyhilarious #bestcomedyedits #funniestcomedycompilations #remixedcomedygems #vintagecomedytreasures #introtoclassiccomedy #rediscoverthelaughs #electroswing #history

SHOULD MARRIED MEN GO HOME? is a silent comedy film starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. It was released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on September 8, 1928. There's also some behind the scenes footage.

When Laurel visits Hardy at home, hi-jinx occur and the Mrs. orders them out. They go to a golf course where they try to impress two young ladies and wind up in a mud-slinging fight with other golfers.

The location footage was mostly shot by George Mann of the comedic dance act Barto and Mann.

Directed by James Parrott
Written by H.M. Walker and Stan Laurel
It stars Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Egar Kennedy, Edna Marian, Viola Richard, Charlie Hall, John Aasen, Chet Brandenburg, Dorothy Coburn, Jack Hill, Sam Lufkin and Lyle Tayo

This film is in the public domain meaning it has been identified as being free of known restrictions under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights. You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission. Corporations lobbied Congress to get U.S. copyright laws extended by 20 years, twice! Because of that, it allows published works to be under copyright for almost a century and corporations to squeeze every last ounce of profit from them even long after the profitability has past. It keeps people from enjoying art, which is the purpose of art.

Tit For Tat - Laurel And Hardy

This silent comedy features Laurel and Hardy as partners in an electrical goods store, and their neighboring grocer, played by Charlie Hall, mistakenly believes that Ollie (Hardy) is attempting to romance his wife. The film is known for its humorous and chaotic situations, including the escalating confrontations between Laurel and Hardy and their neighbor, as well as the shoplifting subplot that unfolds in their electrical store. "The Second Hundred Years" is a classic example of Laurel and Hardy's early silent film work.
