Fox news is one of the biggest news channels in America, with the majority of Americans connected to it via basic cable. It presents what it regards, as unbiased and wholesome coverage of world news. However, many argue that the channel promotes Conservative political positions, and is associated with the Republican Party. In fact some have argued, that it is the “PR extension of the Republican Party”

In 2009 now President Barrack Obama refused to take part in an interview with fox news presenters. This was because they were seen as presenting biased coverage in reports of Obama’s Universal Health care proposal. Fox has also been accused of misrepresenting facts, by over emphasising the amount of people that appear at Republican events, and cropping the quotes of Democrats like Obama, Al Gore, and John Kerry.
Some argue that Fox news’s bias is caused by their owner Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch is a media mogul and has many news outlets all over the world; he is also coincidently affiliated with the Conservative Party in the UK Whatever the case, Fox news continues to underline their motto “Fair and Balanced” and continue to argue against the accusations of bias levied at them.
