Raven Skyriver is an American Glass artist who focuses mainly on wildlife and the natural world in his expressive glass sculptures. He is known for pushing the limits of the glass medium in his ultra realistic pieces. He has mastered many coloring techniques through the use of frit, powdered glass and color bars to create ultra realistic skin tones and body markings. His hot sculpting skills are unbelievable as well.
Prior to the shooting of this video Raven came prepared with the turtle's shell, fins and head by pre-sculpting and cutting; using a diamond wheel, cutting through multiple layers of glass to create the pattern on the turtle's shell, and sandblasting the scales fins. Watch as raven uses many of the same coloring techniques to create the turtle's body, blow it into the shell and attach the fins and head. This is a dramatic process! Enjoy

New Atheists such as Richard Dawkins make evolution the center of their argument against belief in God. Hamza Karamali assumes, for the sake of argument, that evolution is true. He then explains what that would mean by giving an overview of gradual evolution by natural selection by successive DNA recombinations and mutations. He then turns the tables on atheists by explaining why, if this natural process is true, it would prove the existence of God rather than disprove it because evolution is a description of relations between contingent things. This is entailed by the argument from contingency used by traditional Muslims scholars and it is the first time that has been applied in the public domain in this way to respond to atheist arguments from evolution.

This naturally leads to the conclusion that science is great. Not only does it make our lives in this world better, it also reveals religious knowledge.

This also naturally leads to an exploration of whether the argument from contingency is a God-of-the-gaps argument. He explains briefly why it’s not. The details for that will be in the next episode.
