عندما أسسنا مشروع السبيل، كان من أهم التحديات مواجهة موجة #الإلحاد، والرد على شبهات الليبرالية والنسوية والعلموية، والتصدي لأطروحات تمييع الإسلام. وكنا حريصين على تجنب الخوض في الصراعات المذهبية والطائفية التي تفرق صفوف المسلمين، كما حرصنا منذ البداية على الابتعاد عن التصنيفات الضيقة كي يبقى هذا المشروع متاحا وجذابا للجميع. ولكن للأسف، تعرضنا لهجمات متتالية من فئات متشددة محسوبة على جمهورنا الإسلامي المتدين، حتى وجدنا أن هجمات التصنيف والتنميط والافتراء ومحاولات الإسقاط من هذا الجمهور أكثر بأضعاف مما يحصل من الجمهور العلماني والملحد!
