Quantum gravity is the hardest problem in physics. It's the attempt to unify the two pillars of modern physics: quantum mechanics and general relativity. It's the study of how gravity works at the quantum level, where the laws of physics are very different from what we experience in everyday life. One of the biggest challenges in quantum gravity is that gravity is the weakest force in nature. It's so weak that it's impossible to study for particles in the lab. We can only see its effects on very large objects, like planets and stars. Scientists have been working on quantum gravity for decades, but they haven't been able to come up with a complete theory. So it remains one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in physics, one that scientists are determined to solve.

A simple and clear explanation of all the important features of quantum physics that you need to know. Check out this video's sponsor https://brilliant.org/dos
I have spent a lot of time thinking about how best to explain quantum physics and this is the result of all my hours of pondering, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I decided to just explain it as it actually is, rather than rely on analogies. The video explains the quantum wavefunction, particle-wave duality, the measurement problem, the double-slit experiment, superposition, entanglement, quantum tunnelling, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, and energy quantisation. Let me know if it was helpful! Cheers Dx

In this video, we look at static electricity. We start by looking at how electrons can be transferred from one insulator to another to create a static charge. We then look at how this is applied in a Van de Graaff generator. Finally, we explore how static electricity can be dangerous and how we can prevent this.
