In this comedy, Stan and Ollie are sailors who check into a sleazy hotel where the owner, Mugsie Long, plans to force the hotel maid into marriage against her will. Stan and Ollie intervene to help the young girl, leading to a series of comical situations and a confrontation with the tough Mugsie. The story continues with a mix-up in a boxing match where Stan ends up in the ring against Mugsie. The confusion involving a loaded glove, bets, and a runaway chase adds to the hilarity of the film. As always, Laurel and Hardy's comedic antics and physical humor are central to the entertainment in "Any Old Port!"
In my opinion, this is one of the best L & H guest appearances. It's the second of two from the film Pick A Star (1937) starring Rosina Lawrence. It makes me laugh every time. The tunes, the facial expressions, the trumpet - and that tiny harmonica! Brilliant.
Church & Sons Painting Co. happily brings you a must see video of Laurel and Hardy masquerading as painters! Absolutely touching with a very cute ending.. ;)
Another movie in which Stan and Ollie move a piano but this time Stan is drunk and their is a giant gorilla in the way

The comedy genius of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy performing 'The trail of the lonesome pine' from their classic film 'Way Out West'.
Imagine what could happen if IKEA started selling cars....
Considering the proliferation of sub compact low cost cars in fast growth countries, exemplified by TATA's venture to create a car costing a mere two and half thousand dollars, this joke is that much more ingenious; some of us are going to be in deep trouble
Of course, you know what'll happen....
There you are picking all the items from the IKEA store 'warehouse' shelves, you've nearly got everything loaded onto your trolley and then you find out the wheels are 'out of stock'
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the unique world of silent film comedy with Laurel and Hardy's hilarious 1927 masterpiece, "Putting Pants on Philip". This beautifully restored edition provides an authentic experience of the duo's earliest on-screen comedic synergy.
In this comedic gem, Stan Laurel portrays the kilt-wearing Scottish lad Philip, who has just arrived in America and struggles to adapt to the new culture, much to the despair of his uncle, played by Oliver Hardy. Philip's insistence on wearing his Scottish attire sets the stage for a series of unforgettable comedic scenarios that truly demonstrate why Laurel and Hardy remain icons of the silent film era.
